Tapping noise while driving

hey fellas fg xr6 turbo got a bit of a annoying problem while driving i can hear a rattling noise think its under the hood the sound is similar to the noise of metal being heated up that crackling kinda noise

haha dont know if any one would have any ideas what it is but worth a shot because its annoying the s**t outta me.

check wastegate flap, mine did this sounds a bit louder when first started and under load

Most frustrating noise I've come across in the FG was a tapping sound everytime I went over a bump/corrugation in the road.

Funny thing was that when sitting in the drivers seat it sounded like it was coming from around the front passenger foot well.
Searched for hours for the thing - no luck was about to start pulling the trim off when I sat back in the drivers seat and went for drive - tap tap tap again.

Finally realised wifey hadn't put the passenger sun visor back into its holder properly and the thing was tapping away.
